Maroua: Gendarme opens fire on colleagues 0

A young gendarmerie officer opened fire today Friday, July 14, 2017 on his comrades in service at the Gendarmerie legion at Kousseri, in the Far North region.

The officer killed four and seriously wounded one of his colleagues. Unconfirmed reports say the killings are linked to a love affair with the young officer’s wife.

The victims are:
– Captain Ondoua, company commander (deceased)
– Gendarme Ndengue Carole, deceased
– Gendarme May Bébé, deceased
– Gendarme Moulioum, Injured

A civilian lady working in the kitchen department named as Madam Ibrahim was also killed. The alleged murderer has been identified as Constable Jude Woumessi
