Nchout’s goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time lifted Cameroon into the knockout stage to cap an exhilarating finish. She caught New Zealand pushed too far upfield and made her way into the left side of the box before shaking Ria Percival with a couple of moves and bending a right-footed shot past Erin Nayler:
Nchout also scored in the 57th minute and was named Player of the Match for Cameroon, which finished as one of the four best third-place teams and advanced past the group stage for the second straight World Cup.
