Southern Cameroons War: Large parts of Akwaya under Manyu Ghost Warriors control 0
Southern Cameroons liberation forces aka Manyu Ghost Warriors operating in the Manyu County are moving freely through ‘the majority’ of Tinta, Dadi, Kesham and Abonadu after a major assault against French Cameroun terrorists’ forces, Odeshi commanders have said. By late this evening, most of Akwaya, with the exception of the areas near Mamfe town will be in the hands of the Interim Government of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia – although sporadic fighting is ongoing.
A leading figure serving the interest of the Interim Government in Akwaya told Cameroon Concord News that there was still some small pockets of resistance and that the French Cameroun army could well stage counter-attacks.
Officials of the Manyu Advisory Committee believe the operation is a great success and the Warriors feel they can finish off the job during this fast approaching rainy season. Two Manyu Ghost Warriors fighters died during the battle for Dadi, the Manyu Advisory Committee confirmed. Those wounded have not yet been named. A Biya regime source said the number of French Cameroun dead is probably running into the twenties.
