Exposed: 4,000 people die each year in Cameroon from Malaria 0
Health officials in Cameroon say malaria remains a concern and are mobilizing for its eradication. According to figures released yesterday in Yaoundé, more than 4,000 people die each year from malaria and more than half of these 4,000 deaths are registered among pregnant women.
Cameroonian authorities have made efforts to limit the devastating effect of malaria. However, these actions of the government have failed continuously due to corruption and the misappropriation of international funding meant for the fight against malaria.
