Kenya: Three cops, Cameroonian arrested after stealing Sh6 million 0
Three Police Officers attached at Kayole Police Station and a Cameroonian were on Friday night arrested by Pangani Detectives after they robbed two victims of $60,000 (Sh6million).
According to the DCI, the incident happened at Barwoo Lodge, 8th Street 2nd Avenue Eastleigh.
However, two other suspects police constable Mwaniki and the gang’s informer escaped.
The arrested, corporal Wilson Cheruiyot, police constables Daniel Kipkorir Alex Kandie and Jean Baptist Esome were found with $35,200 (Sh3.5 million).
Three pistols and 45 rounds of ammunition also recovered.
A manhunt has been launched for the two fugitives believed to possess the rest of the money is ongoing.
