Yaounde: Comoros Island eye win, Cameroon need tie to qualify for AFCON 0
The Comoros national soccer team arrived here Thursday evening ahead of the final round of qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Comoros will clash with Cameroon on Saturday at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.
Officials of the football federation of the Comoros said the team is coming with the ambition to win the game and qualify for their first Africa Cup of Nations.
Comoros, sitting third behind Cameroon and Morocco in Group B, require a win to advance.
Cameroon, standing second, need just a tie to survive.
On Tuesday, Clarence Seedorf, head coach of the Cameroon national football team Indomitable Lions, said his team is in top form to “make it through”.
