The disgraced former Acting President of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia Dr Samuel Ikome Sako will be heading to Los Angeles to launch a book, come July 20, 2019. Cameroon Concord News Group understands the event will be staged in a church hall.

Ever since his ouster from the office of Acting President, Sako has been working tirelessly to destabilize the Ambazonia Interim Government. A senior Southern Cameroons academic in the US who spoke to our Washington Bureau Chief wondered aloud that “Who’s that leader who’ll be writing and launching books in the middle of a revolution?”

Another prominent Ambazonian who confirmed the Sako book launch news to us noted that “People are dying in Ground Zero, and all Sako can do is to launch books for money.”   A family friend of the Sakos revealed that part of the money received from the launch will be made available to fund the struggle.

However, for a man who could not account for My Trip To Buea funds that’s supposed to be the people’s money, some political commentators have already opined that Sako intends to deceive Ambazonia public opinion and rally Southern Cameroonians to participate massively during the event.

Sako and the former Communications Secretary, Chris Anu are taking advantage of the spilled blood of Southern Cameroonians to make money for themselves.

The duties attributed to Dr Samuel Ikome Sako and Chris Anu from when they were sourced from their serious religious criminal gang underground world where they were crime kingpins to join the Ambazonian Interim Government were that of a junior Secretary and Secretary for Communications.

President Sisiku Ayuk Tabe strategically placed the men of God in the Interim Government from where both men had a meteoric rise in the Southern Cameroons exiled political system and were provided the resources to zealously advance the Southern Cameroons quest for independence.

The appointment of these crime kingpins as Acting President of the Ambazonia Interim Government and Communications Secretary respectively was intended to put some public faces to the struggle immediately after the arrest and illegal extradition of the Ambazonia leader and his top aides in Abuja, Nigeria to French Cameroun.

The Sako appointment from the shadows of the religious crime syndicate from where he operated, to the more visible role of Acting President of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia was not intended to fundamentally change the nature of the duties he has been performing within the Pentecostal Church crime syndicate. It was intended to enable him to play a commanding public role within the Interim Government’s command structure to counter the French Cameroun’s genocidal machine which he failed woefully.

President Sisiku Julius Ayuk Tabe and the other 9 detainees were yesterday the 10th July 2019 notified with a decision of the President of the Court of Appeals Centre Region dated 02nd May 2019 in their petition recusing Magistrates MEM Michel, EDOU MEWOUTOU Fidele Arman and NGOUONGUE TIANI Sandrine.

Our senior political man, Soter Tarh Agbaw-Ebai observed that the court pursuant to their petition, received the  Statement of Defense of the Respondents as well as the Submissions of the Legal Department and proceeded straight to judgment which they kept in their drawers until Counsel for the Petitioners raised the issue of non determination of the said application yesterday and they now rushed to notify them with certified copies of the said Judgment known in French as “Expedition” signed only by the Registrar of the court.

It should be noted that unlike the case of the matter against Lt Col MISSE NJONE JACQUES wherein the Petitioners were fined to pay a symbolic franc, in this case they’ve been fined to pay each of only two Respondents, to wit, Magistrates EDOU MEWOUTOU Fidele Armand and NGOUONGUE TIANI Sandrine the sum of Five Hundred Thousands francs CFA as damages for moral prejudice.

What is most disturbing which is peculiar to the Civil Law jurisdiction of French Cameroun is the fact that for a serious application of this nature and wherein by law the court sits as first and last resort with no possibility of appeal against its decision, the Petitioner is never served with the documents filed by both the Respondents and the Legal Department in response to their application …so they’re only served the judgment. This is an application which by nature is necessarily adversarial or contradictory in nature. This is purely a gross violation of the right to Fair Hearing.

Over a hundred asylum-seekers from Cameroon blocked the path of Mexican immigration vans Tuesday morning in Tijuana, in protest of what they believe to be corruption by Mexican immigration officials.

The complaints of the Cameroonians stem from the Mexican authorities refusal to accept migrants from Africa for transport to the U.S. side of the border, where they can officially declare asylum. The Africans claim that days have gone by without Mexican officials calling any numbers from an unofficial “waiting list,” and yet Central American asylum seekers have been granted entry to the U.S. on those days.

“It’s corruption plain and simple,” said an asylum-seeker named Beatriz, who asked that her last name not be published. She said Central Americans have been paying bribes to the immigration officers. Beatriz has been waiting two months to cross into the United States and saw her number recently skipped over. “I can’t wait another two months.”

Asylum-seekers from Cameroon are, for the most part, members of the English-speaking minority in the country, and they have faced intense persecution since 2016. Many have traveled through South America, the jungles of Panama and Central America, only to run out of time and money south of the U.S. border.

Stanley was part of a group of eight African asylum-seekers that were asked to meet with Mexican officials in the hopes of ending the protest, which had drawn the attention of the newly-formed Mexican National Guard.

After an hour-long meeting, the asylum-seekers and Mexican officials emerged with a “deal” that the African asylum-seekers would be able to verify the unofficial list each morning, to make sure the correct numbers were being called. The group dispersed and let the immigration vans proceed, but not without a promise by many to hold the Mexicans to their word in the final stage of what has been a very long journey for them.

Cameroon’s government is so corrupt that today a minister was designated.  The Secretary of State is publicly designating the Republic of Cameroon Inspector General of the Cameroonian Gendarmerie, Colonel Jean Claude Ango Ango, due to his involvement in significant corruption related to wildlife trafficking.

This designation is made under Section 7031(c) of the Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, 2019 (Div. F, P.L. 116-6) (“Section 7031(c)”).  Section 7031(c) provides that, in cases where the Secretary of State has credible information that officials of foreign governments have been involved in significant corruption or a gross violation of human rights, those individuals and their immediate family members are ineligible for entry into the United States.

The law also requires the Secretary of State to publicly or privately designate such officials and their immediate family members.  In addition to the designation of Mr. Ango Ango, the Secretary is also publicly designating Mr. Ango Ango’s spouse, Ms. Engono Akomo.  Today’s action sends a strong signal that the United States is committed to fighting corruption and combating the transnational crime of wildlife trafficking to preserve our world’s iconic species.”

The UN system’s International Financial Corporation, part of the World Bank group which has seen its impunity chipped away at by the U.S. Supreme Court’s JAM v IMF decision, is blithely backing up Biya as his goons beat up the press: From July 10 to 12, IFC’s Vice President for the Middle East and Africa Sergio Pimenta will visit Cameroon in the framework of the upcoming launch of Nachtigal dam (420 MW)’s construction project.

The project whose funds mobilization was coordinated by the IFC is 20% owned by the World Bank group’s subsidiary dedicated to the private sector’s financing. It will boost Cameroon’s energy generation capacity by 30%, create thousands of jobs and supply clean and affordable energy to residents and local companies.

During his visit in Cameroon, the vice president will meet high officials, private sector executives and many development partners. He will also conduct various field visits with IFC’s current and future clients.  The IFC’s active portfolio in Cameroon is estimated at $228 million.

Apart from financial support, the institution also provides consulting services to help the government improve its business environment.  Once again, shameful support without any conditions or even caution, to Biya’s murderous and openly corrupt government.

After Guterres on June 28 tried to erase his failure and failure of credibility on Cameroon by embracing an attempt to mediate by Switzerland, in Geneva Swiss police used tear gas against protesters of Biya’s corruption, right in front of the UN. Given Guterres’ track records, perhaps it was this that he was welcoming.

Then even the Swiss police arrested for roughing up a journalist six of Biya’s guards – in the way the NYPD has yet to act on Guterres’ abusive guards Ronald E. Robbins, who roughed up Inner City Press after it questioned Cameroon’s ambassador here, and others who didn’t give their names, here.

On July 4 six members of the Cameroonian president’s security staff have been given suspended prison sentences in Switzerland over an attack on a journalist, the Geneva prosecution authority said Thursday.  The six — five men and a woman — “have been criminally convicted”, the Geneva attorney-general’s office said…

The journalis filed a criminal complaint stating he was assaulted by a group of men outside Geneva’s luxury Intercontinental Hotel, where Biya is believed to have been staying since June 23.  He said he had been filming a clash between about a dozen demonstrators against Cameroon’s 86-year-old president and members of the president’s security detail, when they attacked him and grabbed his equipment, wallet and phone.

He was slightly injured in the assault and his possessions were damaged.  The attack spurred Bern to summon Cameroon’s ambassador last week, describing the incident as “unacceptable” and adding “freedom of the press is protected and must be respected.”

I bring you revolutionary greetings.
Yesterday, our President, Sissiku Ayuk Tabe and his leadership team in the Yaoundé Principal Detention Centre attended another court session.

The lockdown announced on Monday by our Ground Zero Commanders, our Self-defence Forces and your Interim Government for yesterday was a huge success. In all hamlets, villages, towns and cities of our nation, Ambazonia, the silence and inactivity was deafening and sublime. I am pleased to announce to you that day by day and by your actions, our brave warriors and heroes in Ground Zero continue to make our leaders in detention proud. Special thanks to our self-defence forces for their selflessness in protecting our people from the war declared on us in November 2017 by the genocidal regime in Yaounde.

Yesterday, the Court was attended by our ten leaders in detention and the defence team was led by Barrister Paddy YOUNG bolstered up by a team of more than one hundred lawyers.

Our lawyers raised 3 vital objections:

• Pending appeal at the Supreme Court.

• Language barriers.

• Recused assessors still seating on the bench.

The learned Barrister and his team raised objections about the court’s legitimacy in deliberating and overseeing the legal proceedings against our leaders as stipulated by La Republique’s and international law. This, they argued isn’t consistent with the law as there is an appeal pending at the Supreme Court. They argued that as there was an appeal at the Supreme Court, it should take precedent over the lower courts. The defence team argued that the filed recusal against two assessors hasn’t been resolved because they are still sitting on the bench. This matter needed to be resolved before the case could be heard.

The Magistrate and his team left the court sitting for over three hours whilst they deliberated in the back office and taking instructions from their superiors. Upon return, the Magistrate dismissed the language barrier objection and the issue of pending appeal in the Supreme Court. He then adjourned the case to Tuesday the 23rd of July 2019.
As we continue to go through this shambles of a court hearing, let’s be strong. Let’s pull together as a people. Only unity, unconditional support and determination would give us and our leaders the strength to conquer this enemy, La Republique du Cameroon.

It was a rather long day in court.  The French Cameroun escort vans from the anti terrorist special Gendarmerie unit better known by its French acronym GPIGN showed up at the Kondengui High Security Prison in Yaoundé to transport the Southern Cameroons leaders to court at about 11.25 am.

The Ambazonian leaders got to court by midday and were greeted by a college of 60 lawyers from Bamenda, Kumbo, Buea, Kumba, Victoria, Tiko, Douala and Yaoundé led by Lead Counsel Batonier emeritus Eta Besong Jr including an impressive crowd of family members, friends and hundreds of  Ambazonians despite the heavy deployment of troops in and around the court premises. Southern Cameroonians came in their numbers and encouraged their leaders and reminded them to remain resolute.

Today’s court session was presided over by Lieutenant Colonel Misse Njone Jacques Baudouine and two civilian judges identified by our chief intelligence officer as Magistrates Ngouongue and Edou Mewoutou Armand.

The Francophone tribunal started at about 12.45pm with the usual military honours. The President opened the session and had barely explained the reasons for the last adjournment and how proceedings were going to be when Batonier Eta Besong Jr took the floor for and on behalf of the defense, raised issues with the composition of the court that included two civilian Magistrates against whom there was a pending Recusal Application that had not yet been determined by the President of the court of appeal in Yaounde.

Eta Besong’s eloquent arguments were backed up by brilliant submissions from Barristers Paddy Yong, Suh Fuh Benjamin, Akuwiyadze Joseph and Maitre Simh Emmanuel who iced the cake of defense submissions in persuasive French language.

The Commissaire du Gouvernement, Lieutenant Colonel Engono Thaddee and his deputy Magistrate Onambele made submissions for the State party while Barristers Achu Julius, Amazee Anthony, Tanifum Julius and Me Kengmoé submitted for the Civil Party.

The stormy court session lasted 3 hours and the court rose at 4.00pm to deliberate and deliver a ruling in 15 minutes. It was however not until 5.40 pm that sitting resumed and the court simply read out its decision to adjourn the case to the 23/07 for the Ambazonian leaders to be served with the Ruling of the Court of Appeal on the pending Recusal of the other members of the panel as mandatorily requested by law.

It should be noted that during the proceedings, a French Cameroun secret service officer got up and threatened some lawyers and Southern Cameroonians who were present in the court hall and then moved to the center of the court room and stared at the lawyers and population in court menacingly.

Barrister Eta Besong Jr upon hint from lawyers caused the President to summon the man who was identified as a spy in civilian dress from SED by name as Adjudant EBODE Luc. He was promptly warned by the judge and ordered out of the court hall. The Ambazonians leaders confirmed to our chief intelligence officer after the court session that Adjudant EBODE Luc was the leader of the torture team at SED when they were detained immediately after the illegal extradition from Abuja, Nigeria. He was seen several times hitting the heads of handcuffed Ambazonians against the wall in the night when taking them outside the cell for regular flogging including other forms of torture. He reportedly maltreated some nurses and a medical doctor who were brought from Manyu County to SED. The court session ended at 6 pm.

US Congressman Ron Kind held an event in La Crosse to highlight the political and humanitarian crisis in Southern Cameroons and called for diplomatic American intervention to ease the suffering.

Ethnic violence between the French speaking majority and the English speaking minority has reached crisis levels.

Kind recently returned from a visit to the region and is calling for legislation to condemn the violence and impose expectations on the Camaroon Government to do its part.

“One thing we have done already,” says KInd, “is we have pulled back some of the security funding assistance to their military forces because of the security concerns that we raised with them and we can do more of that.”

Kind says people in La Crosse and the U.S. should care about oppression and violence and work together to condemn it, no matter where it’s happening.

Tension continues to mount between Ambazonia Restoration Forces and Cameroon government army soldiers in Southern Cameroons. It follows a protracted conflict which has led some 500,000 indigenes fleeing the country.

In Bamenda, Brigadier General Agha Robinson Ndong who commands the French Cameroun 5th Joint Military Region recently observed that the region is desperate at this particular moment.

“I’m telling you again, that we might not be saints, we are not, but we do our best. So the population understands that. We are with them and we’ve come here not only to defend them, to encourage them to develop themselves”, General Ndong said.

The region is burdened with violence and instability as Cameroon government forces and Ambazonia Restoration fighters battle for control of the Northern Zone.

The French Cameroun army and government are desperate at this particular moment and they are using every means to smear the Ambazonian war of independence and to escape charges for crimes against humanity.

There have been allegations of threat, torture and execution- a claim human rights groups blame both sides for. But both the Cameroonian army and Ambazonia Restoration Forces deny the claim and blame the other party.

Southern Cameroonians claim to be sidelined by the country’s French speaking majority. Thousands have been killed and Amba forces have vowed to continue with the fighting.

Recently, Switzerland said it will mediate the crisis in the Central African nation but ordered the 86 year old President Biya to leave Geneva with immediate effect after violent protest staged by French speaking Cameroonians rocked the European nation.
